Michael Agnew
Michael has worked in youth ministry for 10 years and has a deep passion for helping teenagers discover their purpose and awaken to the full capacity that God has designed for their life. He relates to people of all ages and personalities due to his open-hearted spirit and practical approach to life. Michael is a graduate of Baylor University and received his Master of Arts in
Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Dealing with a stutter since he was a child, Michael began rapping and writing poetry as a way to help him find his voice. He has performed poetry at churches and schools around the country, demonstrating that what we view as a weakness, God can turn into our biggest strength. When he is not getting coffee with students or writing poetry, Michael can be found at home playing
dinosaurs with his two boys, binging TV shows with his wife, Zara, or planning out his next family trip to Disney World.
“I believe that as human beings, we resonate with each other’s feelings, with our joys and our tragedies. I hope that this book of my outpourings will resonate with you and that you too will experience the joys and sorrows of humanness that we all share through the poems in this volume.” - Michael Agnew
